Description
CBG Surveying Texas, LLC is looking for a Help Desk Analyst who
will solve computer problems, test cost-effective solutions, and
provide support to ensure efficient daily operation of the
organization's network and computer systems. The position will be
based out of our Garland, TX office and will require you to work
in-office daily.
Objectives of this role
--- Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating
systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems,
laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
--- Provide IT support to remote and in-office staff.
--- Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the
larger business initiative.
--- Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide
commercial advantage in the global marketplace.
--- Enable faster and smarter business processes, and develop
analytics for meaningful insights.
--- Work with internal and external partners to communicate project
status, activities, and achievements.
Responsibilities
--- Respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and
maintain new servers when needed.
--- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop
and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls,
printers, phones, and security updates; support internet, intranet,
LANs, WANs, and network segments.
--- Assist other teams with troubleshooting to identify root
causes, and provide technical support when needed.
--- Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including
backups.
--- Routine Hardware installation and repair (e.g., RAM
installation/upgrades, GPU installation, HDD/SSD replacement.
--- IT Asset Management.
--- Carlson Survey with iCAD administration (including
installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and correcting LISP
routines as needed).
Requirements
Required skills and qualifications
--- Proven success in an IT role.
--- 2-4 years minimum hands-on direct IT experience required.
--- AA degree or a BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Information
Technology is highly preferred.
--- Direct experience working in a Windows Server environment,
extensive knowledge of computer systems and programming.
--- Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and
operating systems (SaaS environment), current equipment and
technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems
performance-monitoring tools, Active Directory, virtualization,
HTTPS traffic, and MS 365/exchange hybrid.
--- Experience in Microsoft-based platforms, project management,
application design and integration, and cloud computing.
--- Experience in Security/Data Breach Prevention, Malware,
Phishing, and Hacking type activity prevention.
--- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
--- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to
collaborate and work with multiple departments.
--- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
--- Mobile device management.
--- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred skills and qualifications
--- Professional certifications highly desirable, (i.e., CompTIA
Network+, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching,
Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate).
--- Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
--- Travel to the Houston office might be required 1-2 times per
year.
