ABOUT THE TEAM:
RealPage seeks to recruit a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Operations
Engineer responsible for supporting the operations function of
RealPage's DLP program. The DLP Operations team will work with the
core Information Security team and infrastructure teams to manage
the DLP program to include new detection rules, strategy,
operations processes, and other requirements related to the
protection of data at RealPage. This position requires analytic
skills, creativity, quick reaction, organization, and technical
expertise to protect the company assets. Join us in evolving our
DLP response capabilities to shape a pro-active, threat
intelligence driven fusion model to protect RealPage, its customers
and partners from the ever evolving and sophisticated global threat
actors.
WHAT YOU--LL DO:
As a Data Loss Prevention Engineer, you will work closely with our
Information Security and development teams to help drive the
security culture of our organization. - You'll be hands-on with
technologies to conduct assessments of where sensitive data exists
at all levels, and how to protect it. - You'll help to create and
manage secure development practices and implement the frameworks to
ensure the continuous monitoring of the effectiveness of our data
loss prevention program. - You'll provide your in-depth expertise
to help analyze and guide teams on best practices and remediation
of issues. - To make all of this happen, you will help plan and
execute large and challenging projects across RealPage lines of
business.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As Data Loss Prevention Engineer you will
Manage the new detection logic intake process
Engage with senior leaders to help them understand the risk of
sensitive data loss
Conduct testing and reviews of DLP detection logic in place and
document results
Contribute to the DLP strategy across all RealPage
infrastructure
Communicate, implement, enforce and monitor security controls to
protect the organization's data and technology assets from
intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure or
destruction
Provide training, informational, and educational materials to
impacted employees
Ensure that security plans, controls, processes, standards,
policies, and procedures are aligned with overall information
security standards
Identify security risks and exposures, determine the causes of
standard security violations and implement changes to halt future
incidents and improve security.
Monitor and analyze system access logs to ensure ability to provide
audit trails and incident investigation
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Strong understanding of concepts of risk management and data loss
prevention tools
Good problem solving and analytical skills
Knowledge of diagnostic and support tools used in a support
environment
Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive
results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build
relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically
dispersed team environment
Knowledge and understanding of data loss analysis: identification
of security events
Knowledge and understanding of data organizing or structuring
complex data across varied data sources
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Previous experience with industry leading DLP platforms
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Degree in applicable field
Excellent written, verbal, and collaboration skills.
Strong collaborative skills; must be willing to engage in a
constructive dialogue with teams to achieve common goals. -
Able to truly understand business drivers and adjust to meet the
needs of the business. -
