Purpose of Job We are seeking a talented Financial Analyst II for our San Antonio, Charlotte, or Plano facility. This person may also work remotely in a 100% Remote Work Environment. Under general supervision, regularly uses financial principles to solve moderately complex business problems while performing forecasting, planning, and financial modeling related to income, profitability, liquidity, capital, leverage, asset and liability management or operating expense. Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and ensures risks are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled. USAA Careers World Class Benefits (31 seconds) Primary Responsibilities: Prepares financial forecasts/plans for a business area or expense category; with minimal supervision, develops forecasting/planning process and model improvement initiatives. Prepares recurring or ad hoc financial reports and analysis or cost benefit analysis to support internal and external management decision making. With minimal supervision, delivers moderately complex financial research and value-added business decision support, and recommends solutions to key financial and operational opportunities. Performs product assignment, product pricing, product profitability and ad hoc analysis. Provides informed, proactive analysis and business insights to enable effective decision making and efficient resource utilization. Acquires and applies maturing knowledge of the business, its products and processes to resolve issues and identify appropriate issues for escalation. Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree. If Bachelor's, 2 years of related experience and accountability for complex tasks and/or projects OR If Masters, 0-2 years of financial / accounting analysis or related work experience OR If 1 year of progress towards an advanced financial degree or completion of 2 exams towards the CFA designation, 0-2 years of financial / accounting analysis or related work experience When you apply for this position, you will be required to answer some initial questions. Preferred Experience: Experience at a medium to large banking institution. Credit Card Experience. Experience in Corporate Finance (either revenue or expenses). Experience collaborating and participating in cross-functional projects. Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is: $48,800 - $87,900*( this does not include geographic differential it may be applied based on your work location) Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors. *Geographical Differential: Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average. Shift premium: will be addressed on an individual-basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.
