department! ResponsibilitiesOur team is seeking an experienced UX
Product Designer to work within our Digital Experience area! We are
looking for someone who is innovative, passionate, and
collaborative and excited to work for an industry leader in
insurance celebrating 100 years! Our winning spirit fuels our fun
and fast paced team! Our team works in an agile and iterative
approach with our product team partners to co-create magical user
experiences for our Agents and Associates. A day in the life of a
UX Product Designer As a UX practitioner, you will understand UX
design and architecture principles and have a strategic mindset to
apply them in creating clean, simple, intuitive, and branded
experiences. You will be a part of our team collaborating with
business and product partners to create innovative B2E experiences
and sales tools for State Farm agents as they service policies for
personal lines customers and small business owners. As a UX Product
Designer, you will take a user-centered design approach to identify
user needs, conduct research, innovate, and build solutions. Your
strong communication and presentation skills will empower you to
effectively communicate complex concepts and design solutions.We're
looking for someone who:
- Has a passion for envisioning, innovating, designing, and
delivering simple user experiences
- Is familiar with CX principles, personas, journey mapping,
empathy mapping, and other UX processes.
- Is a self-starter who can work with minimal direction, rallies
teams, and enjoys delving into problems to solve.
- Can lead teams of UX practitioners and contribute to the design
and architecture of concepts
- Leads by direction and by example
- Is a clear communicator while working with immediate teams as
well as across product partners, business partners, and other
stakeholder departments.
- Creates and understands the importance of creating digital
visuals consistent with brand standards and strategies.
- Articulates user experience design concepts and advocates for
customer-centric designs.
- Works as part of a team to execute on digital experience
projects - from conceptualization through development and
implementation.
- Coordinates with teammates and peers across products and sales
channels (agent and customer self-service) to provide cohesion in
experiences QualificationsIdeal candidates will possess the
following skills & experience:
- 3-5+ years' experience using design templates and pattern
libraries to create interactive UX design prototypes, and/or
deliver UI enhancements and visual design assets.
- 3-5+ years' experience in building wireframes, user and task
flows, rapid interactive prototypes, comps, and visual design
assets of varying levels of fidelity for usability evaluation and
UI development needs, including minor copy writing and maintenance
of associated digital artifacts and interaction pattern
libraries.
- Proficient with industry standard tools such as Photoshop,
Figma, Adobe Illustrator and Mural.
- Solid design portfolio
- Understanding of the design thinking and product
lifecycles.
- Understanding of UX architectureAdditional skills & experience
include:
- CUA Certificate
- Working with established Design Systems
- Product Management knowledge
- Internal B2E experience design
- Insurance and Financial Service product and industry knowledge
