Overview of Position A Data Analyst collects data about an
organization's operations to improve its systems and processes.
Primary duties include Perform analysis and turn data into
information, information into insight and insight into business
decisions, conducting full lifecycle analysis to include
requirements, activities, and design. Data analysts will develop
analysis and reporting capabilities. Monitor performance and
quality control plans to identify improvements, researching
business data, making recommendations with reports generated using
data to the company's management and analyzing the potential impact
of their recommendations.Interpret data, analyze results using
statistical techniques and provide ongoing reportsSolid
understanding of dimensional data modeling and ER-ModelingExtensive
knowledge of/experience with data integration, data quality,
multi-dimensional design, and ETL tools, processes, and
methodologyWork with the data architect and data analyst to
translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and
physical data modelsAnalyzing and translating business needs into
long-term solution data models. Consider Exact, Transform and Load
(ETL) and Reporting challenges in designing data
models.Implementing data strategies and developing physical data
models.Working with the development team to create conceptual data
models and data flows.Evaluating existing data systems.Reviewing
modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.Review
the data model with both technical and business audiences as well
as Data GovernanceUpdating and optimizing local and metadata
models.Developing best practices for data coding to ensure
consistency within the system.Knowledge of mathematical foundations
and statistical analysis.Excellent communication skills with the
ability to facilitate interaction between developers, analysts, and
business staffWork with management to prioritize business and

departmental policy.Bachelor's degree in computer science or MIS
related area required or equivalent experience (industry experience
substitutable)7+ years of experience of data modeler3+ years of
experience in Banking and financial domainExperience in loans will
be a value addProven analytic skills, including mining, evaluation,
analysis, and visualizationTechnical writing experience in relevant
areas, including queries, reports, and presentationsStrong SQL or
Excel skills with the ability to learn other analytic toolsPrior
experience with database and model design and segmentation
techniquesPractical experience in statistical analysis using
packages including Excel, SPSS, and SASProven success in a
collaborative, team-oriented environmentExcellent understand of the
SDLC process and familiar with the various testing methodologies
(e.g.: SCRUM, Kanban, TDD, BDD and Squad Models).Excellent verbal
and written communication skillsMust adhere to corporate/team
etiquetteGood communicator with problem solving mindset and focus
on process improvementTakes bottom line responsibilities starting
