We are looking to hire an experienced Electro-optical Design
Engineer / Device Physicist to join our team at our campus in Grand
Prairie, TX.
-In this exciting role, the Physicist or Scientist with leverage
their experience in electronic material and/or device engineering
to model and evaluate new and future products in support of current
and future cutting-edge development efforts.
-This work may be somewhat similar to that of a Device Physicist
from the semiconductor industry but with alternate
applications.
-An ideal candidate would have expertise in electronic / optical /
dielectric materials and characterizations for integration into RF
devices, which includes antennas and transceivers.
-Fundamental understanding of electronic material properties and RF
devices or semiconductor devices is strongly preferred.
-The scientist will have the opportunity to work on new types of
devices and antennas for RF systems and will be engaged with other
material scientists, RF engineers, antenna designers, and
mechanical packaging engineers.
-The candidate should be comfortable working in a multidisciplinary
environment and engage with experts in various fields to integrate
various material / device designs and tools together into
comprehensive models and simulations.
-The scientist will collaborate with cross functional teams with
other engineering and material science disciplines for device
development and eventual integration into a product.
-The scientist will have the opportunity to attend industry

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the "Mid-Cities" region in the
Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of

Basic Qualifications:
--- Master's degree or higher in an engineering or science
field
--- Fundamental understanding of device physics or electronic /
optoelectronic materials and devices is required.
--- Understanding of electromagnetic principles is required.
--- Demonstrated experience with modeling and simulation is
required.
--- Ability to be proactive and work with little supervision is
required.
--- Ability to solve loosely defined and inherently unstructured
problems is required.
--- Clear, confident, concise, coherent oral and written
communication skills are required.
--- Ability to work with geographically diverse teams is
required.
--- The ability to perform in-depth research on highly technical
subjects is required.

Desired Skills:
--- Experience with optical spectroscopy measurement techniques is

--- Comprehensive understanding of Electrical Engineering
principles is desired.
--- Experience with material characterization techniques and device

--- Experience with device / material modeling and simulation is
desired.
--- Experience with advanced and/or multi-purpose electronic and
dielectric materials
--- Fundamental understanding of RF devices is desired.
--- Programming experience in Matlab / Simulink is desired.
--- Understanding of RF systems engineering and RF hardware design
is desired.
--- Experience with rapid prototyping, system integration, and low
cost manufacturing is desired.
