This position specializes in the in-depth examination and detailed analysis of student records in order to provide technical and academic customer service regarding the student record process. Reviews, analyzes, and performs complex calculations related to academic records and graduation, and is responsible for verification of student transfer data.









Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree; Three years of experience in a higher education setting within academic support or similar, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Evaluate student transfer credits, apply University policy to determine eligibility, and enter data into student record system; solve more complex evaluation problems and ensure compliance with UT Dallas policy.

  • Calculate transfer admission GPA and record accurately.

  • Serve in leadership capacity during planning and implementation of commencement exercises.

  • Update student information system through routine and regular data entry; responsible for data integrity tasks related to undergraduate and graduate graduation.

  • May examine student coursework records and analyze progression to degree certification, notifying students of coursework deficiencies.

  • Troubleshoot technical and academic questions regarding academic record via multiple forms of correspondence; use student record system to identify students and locate their enrollment status.

  • Participate as a member of Enrollment Management and Office of the Registrar during events related to grading period, registration, orientation and recruiting.

  • May assist with filing, reception, call center, and scanning as needed.

    • Proactive in identifying potential issues;

    • Ability to plan, coordinate, schedule, direct, and monitor tasks, activities, and assignments to complete projects effectively;

    • Ability to work effectively with a team;

    • Ability to multi-task;

    • Understanding of cross-cultural communication needs and ability to respond accordingly.







      Remote Work Notice:
      A hybrid remote work schedule may be available, and completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment. Use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Employee must be located within the DFW area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice.
