Job Summary
The candidate is required to perform three dimensional
electromagnetic, thermal, structural, and fluid dynamic finite
element simulation of electric machines and their converters.
Familiarity with electromechanical energy conversion, power
electronics, and control of electric machinery is a necessity. The
candidate should be able to write technical reports and articles in
English and communicate effectively. A PhD in electrical
engineering and familiarity with commercially available software
such as Ansys is needed. Finally, the candidate needs to be able to
perform measurement and monitoring in the low voltage laboratory
and setup experimental setups, design and develop power converters
and control algorithms for switched reluctance motor drives.
Minimum Education and Experience
Ph.D in a related field.

Remote Work Notice:
After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a
hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to
business need and manager approval. May be required to use personal
computer and other standard office equipment. Must be located
within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24
hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required
within 14 days after approval.
