UnitedHealth Group offers a portfolio of products that are greatly improving the life of others.The Strategic Client Executive is responsible for the overall management of a book of Strategic Accounts in the 3,000+ customer segment. They are accountable for the maintenance, growth and increased profitability of existing business, the acquisition of new business, and the strategic direction of assigned accounts. Direct strategic, customer specific initiatives, which deliver "value added" services through the execution of client specific business plans. Coordinate and influence superior customer service delivery by developing and maintaining solid intercompany relationships.You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. -Primary Responsibilities:

  • Solid understanding of both fully-insured and self-funded marketplace and pricing disciplines
  • Establish and maintain "solid and appropriate" level relationships with customers and consultants; ensure UHG senior management has customer specific "board level" contacts
  • Develop and monitor client financial performance including renewal planning, negotiation and profitability levels
  • Detailed understanding of all UnitedHealthcare products, services and solutions
  • Ability to navigate UnitedHealthcare internal departments to produce positive results for clients and the company
  • Secure new business through marketing and effective product and service expansion
  • Demonstrate marketing and technical expertise through: Client, broker and consultant meetings
  • Assessment of approach, resources, and contacts needed to complete RFPs
  • Provide feedback to management on market trends as represented by our clients

    • Bachelors degree
    • 5+ years of experience in managing large National Accounts (3,000 lives+) in the insurance industry
    • Underwriting, financial and analytical skills
    • Skilled at articulating our value proposition to customers including the Clinical, and financial aspects of our business
    • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements.       • Appropriate state insurance licenses
      • Problem solver - can move quickly within UHG to solve customer issues
      • Detail orientated professional with strong organizational and leadership skills, self-directed
      • Skillful negotiator with a strategic vision for his/her accounts
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (internal/external) with the ability to build strong relationships with Senior level staff at large employer groups
      • Demonstrated relationship management skills and proven track record of building, maintaining and cultivating client relationships
      • Superior customer service skills including a sense of urgency and ownership for resolving client issues
      • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, visually, verbally, and in writing, and develop consensus among multiple stakeholders
      • Able to easily flex between competing priorities in workload or change in deadlines in a fast-paced environment

The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $70,000 to $140,000. Role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance.
