We are seeking a Principal MMIC Engineer for either our
Richardson, TC or Forsythe, MO location. Please review and apply
today!! This role reports the MMIC Design Center organization under
CAES Integrated Defense Systems. The ideal candidate is someone who
can d evelop innovative, leading-edge GaN and GaAs-based Monolithic
Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs); provide technical expertise
and guidance to engineering staff; customer interface through the
design cycle; perform MMIC technology down-selection and
performance trade-offs, system analysis for highly-integrated MMICs
and/or modules, assist in proposal writing, develop budgets and
schedules; hold design reviews; apply appropriate standards,
processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development
Leads design activity for MMIC products for microwave and
millimeter-wave systems Interface with customers in status
reporting of performance trade-offs and compliance position
Proficient in using RF circuit simulation tools such as AWR, ADS,
Sonnet, or HFSS Project lead for IR&D and product roadmaps
Hands-on experience in RF/Microwave measurements in the lab
environment Perform other related duties as assigned.

Cobham senior management, as well as internal and external

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and
Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Eight (8) + years of design experience in advanced compound
semiconductor technologies such as GaN and or GaAs including
experience with microwave measurements and calibration methods:
S-parameters, power, efficiency, source/load pull, noise figure,
linearity and intermodulation distortion.
This position requires access to technology, materials, software
or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be
eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US
export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government
Advanced Engineering or Physics Degree.
Ability to effectively communicate across functions, to
management, and to customers
Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to
successfully design GaAs and GaN MMICs.
Ten (10) or more years of experience in advanced compound
Proficient user of Cadence AWR simulation tools.
Broad background in theory and techniques of mmW/microwave
circuits, design, and test.
Detailed transistor-level knowledge of RF and microwave
integrated circuit design techniques including linear power
amplifier design, RF switching, low noise amplifiers, bias
circuits, and multi-chip module design.
Understanding of thermal management in MMICs.
RF systems knowledge.
DOD work experience.
