ABOUT THE TEAM

The primary goals of this position are to deliver an exceptional on-boarding experience for our clients, and to implement properties on Resident Billing, Utility Expense Management, and/or Vacant Cost Recovery services as accurately and quickly as possible. The associated metrics of success for the department include average time to implement, set-up accuracy, on-time implementation, and most importantly, client satisfaction.

This position serves in a collaborative capacity with clients, working closely with them to develop an implementation schedule and plan that sets everyone up for success. This position also serves in a consultative capacity, collecting all necessary due diligence, and advising on the best approach to configure properties from both a regulatory and revenue maximization perspective. This position drives and manages all implementation-related work for both new and existing clients, through a combination of direct responsibilities, strategic interdepartmental partnerships, and intradepartmental resources.

The Implementation Consultant IV will apply experience and knowledge to provide training, guidance, and support to Implementation Specialists and Implementation Coordinators. He/She will act as a role model for the department by maintaining a high level of professionalism, answering questions posed by our clients, the Implementation team, and/or other departments, and will utilize his/her skills and talent to forge strong, collaborative partnerships both internally and externally.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will be responsible for ensuring that RealPage's Utility Management clients not only have a deep understanding of the software, but that you have consulted with them on best practices and it is setup to meet their needs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all new orders for RUM services are scheduled as quickly as possible, and that all scheduled properties are implemented on time each month
  • Manage productivity of, and provide support to, Implementation Consultants, Coordinators and Specialists to ensure timely completion of their assigned workload
  • Manage projects to deadline, working collaboratively with clients and internal departments to accomplish objectives, and communicate status updates effectively to all stakeholders
  • Populate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for the department
  • Act as RUM's sole Implementation liaison to the client and property contacts during the implementation process, and as the client's partner expert on all aspects of implementing Resident Billing, Utility Expense Management, and Vacant Cost Recovery programs
  • Communicate consistently in a clear and concise way,and adapt to client-specific needs by providing options/alternative solutions
  • Develop and maintain exceptional knowledge of the company's products and services, including billing methods, regulatory restrictions, sub-meter rate options, CAP's, Utility Expense Management, customer service and account management, utility alerts, pre-bill process, custom reporting service and web tools/reports
  • Develop and review implementation timeline and project plans with client and track progress clearly and consistently during the course of the process
  • Lead all client implementation planning and update calls and document decisions with meeting notes
  • Develop and deliver presentations to clients and senior management
  • Collect all necessary due diligence from the client, including prior biller information, and sub-meter information (if applicable)
  • Consult with client to identify commodities to be billed, and methodologies to be employed
  • Confirm lease compliance, billing eligibility, and preferred service details (RUM Pay vs. Client Pay, RUM Account vs. Client Account, RUM Collect vs. Collect on Site)
  • Develop and document portfolio/property level business rules throughout process
  • Forge strong relationships and collaborative partnerships with new and existing client contacts, as well as internal stakeholders, and Implementation team members
  • Proactively escalate internally and/or within the client organization as necessary when/if a property is at risk of not implementing on time to avoid a possible push
  • Assist with special projects as requested, including custom reports and special data requests and/or explanations
  • Make recommendations on process improvement that will aid the department in meeting its goals and objectives
  • Responsible for Director duties in their absence
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • College Degree, or High School Diploma and relevant experience required
  • At least two (2) years of experience in utility billing required
  • Experience in property management and/or utility fields preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and written/verbal communication skills required
  • Strong organizational skills, and a high level of attention to detail required
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment dealing with complexissues on an on-going basisrequired
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with knowledge of Excel formula functions preferred
  • Must be self-motivated, and able to work both independently and in a group
  • Must be deadline driven, and goal oriented
  • Must have an affinity for troubleshooting and problem solving

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Experience presenting complex solutions to senior leaders
  • Background in technical Account Management and Consulting
