Leading Insurance Company, AssuredPartners of Texas, is seeking a full-time Sales Executive Intern for 2021!


Compensation: $12/hr with a $1 raise for each returning internship year

FLSA Status & Work Hours: Non-exempt full-time position (40 hrs/week) from Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM CST

Internship Dates: June 1st – August 6th 2021 (10 weeks)

Office Location: In-office role at 500 N Central Expy #550, Plano, TX 75074

Department & Direct Manager: Personal Lines and Small Commercial Lines department reporting into the Sales Executive

Overview of the Sales Executive Intern Role:

As a Sales Executive Intern, you will gain an understanding of the Insurance Industry and the distribution models for Insurance Products.?The program will provide you with a broad understanding of Business to Business and Business to Consumer sales for Financial Products. You will build valuable skills in identifying and developing new business opportunities by developing desired outcomes for specific issues facing private and public entities.? 


Sales Executive Intern Primary Responsibilities: 

During our Internship Program, you will: 

  • Complete a rotation through critical teams which help assess issues, develop solutions, negotiate risk transfer contracts, and provide claims advocacy on behalf of policyholders

  • Develop critical sales skills in opportunity identification, lead nurturing, effective sales process, and implementation of financial products

  • Develop and implement cold call scripts

  • Audit census information

  • Accompany Producers on sales calls

  • Assist with prospecting

  • Utilize CRM to track leads and prospects

  • Gather quotations for clients and vendors

  • Copy data and compiles records and reports

  • Tabulate and post data in appropriate customer contact system or in database/spreadsheet

  • Follow company policies with respect to all essential duties and responsibilities


Sales Executive Intern Qualifications:

  • Must have an interest in learning about the different departments within an insurance agency (personal lines, commercial lines, client services, and beyond)

  • Must be a rising sophomore, rising junior or rising senior enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university (we are not open to 2022 or sooner graduates at this time)

  • Located in Dallas, or willing to relocate at own expense, for the full duration of the summer internship

  • Ideal candidates will be outgoing, professional and congenial - with inquisitive personalities and critical thinkers

  • Must be driven, self-starting, and coachable while demonstrating a high level of maturity

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents, and a high capacity for learning is critical
