We are proud to have instilled a shared sense of responsibility and commitment among our approximately 10,000 employees located throughout North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.Job DescriptionAs a group lead, the person in this position is responsible for sourcing transportation on behalf of all Lennox business units.Duties include, but are not limited to: * Develop a sourcing strategy for transportation, define project scopes and identify savings opportunities.* Negotiate and manage carrier contracts and relationships.* Implement policies and metrics to ensure savings goals are realized.* Work with business unit transportation leaders to identify new transportation needs.* Identify new sources in order to meet business requirements.* Serve as the primary interface between company and carriers on strategic/critical procurement and service matters.* Develop and implement long- and short-range sourcing strategies.QualificationsRequires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 8 years related experience.Knowledge of contract law, the RFQ process, supplier and carrier qualification processes. Excellent negotiation, presentation, analytical, planning, project management, written, and verbal skills. Ability to lead a cross functional team and work across the organization at all levels, and develop strategic transportation plans.
