Job Description: Network engineer will be responsible for the design, installation, management, troubleshooting, and documentation of operational, production networks in a geographically distributed computer system / storage / network infrastructure. Job requirements include operations and maintenance support to the Industry Partner Access network and several smaller networks, all operating at a classified level across a number of US locations. The qualified candidate will assume the lead role for Industry Partner Access network operations and will supervise and direct the activities of 2-4 other network engineers for operations and improvements. The team's responsibilities also include operation and support of an enterprise-wide VOIP phone and video conferencing system. This candidate will be a member of the IIS IT Managed Services team, with a primary work location of Richardson TX. The candidate will provide all aspects of network services to assigned infrastructure areas including Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) operations, voice and video services, and external cloud connectivity. The candidate will work closely with the Cornerstone infrastructure and end user services teams to troubleshoot and resolve problems and support new server and network hardware infrastructures. Additionally, the candidate will work closely with the Raytheon corporate network team and a key customer network communications team to support the network transport architecture. Good written and verbal communication skills are necessary, as well as a history of teamwork with customer and Raytheon personnel. Required Skills: * 8+ years of technical experience in network engineering * Demonstrated experience in network design, implementation and administration, including network configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting. * Experience in monitoring network operations and performance using network management tools. * Familiarity with maintenance, analysis and diagnostics of Cisco switches, routers and firewalls. * Domain knowledge of classified networks and computer / network security * On-call support is required, and after-hour maintenance windows support on evenings or weekends will be required on an occasional basis. * Occasional travel to Raytheon and customer facilities will be required (less than 10%). * Supervisory experience is required. * Experience in being responsible for an IT service provided to a large number (> 500) end users * U.S. Citizenship is required. * Current DoD TS with existing SSBI security clearance & CI poly required * Current DoD 8570 CSSP Infrastructure Support job role security certification, or must obtain within 6 months of starting position (applicable certifications include: CISSP, CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP) Desired Skills: * Experience with Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) * Experience with Cisco WaaS * Experience with encryption devices and architecture * Experience with VISIO drawing package and network management is highly desirable. * Experience with What's Up Gold monitoring software * Experience in highly virtualized environments, particularly VMWare virtual environments and cloud environments * Experience with networking in AWS cloud environments * I ndustry standard network engineering certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE) Required Education (including Major): * Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar technical subject and 8+ years of related work experience. 155094Raytheon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
