Raytheon is seeking a System Engineer II – Modeling & Simulation
Developer, to be a part of a team of systems engineers dedicated to
delivering best-in-class Raytheon products for the warfighter
through modeling, simulation, and analysis. Your work will help
demonstrate mission effectiveness of systems and system-of-systems
operating in complex threat environments. On this team, you will be
responsible for developing mission simulations, virtual prototypes,
and system emulators that represent a variety of mission
technologies including sensors, effectors, communications, command
and control, and more. This will include integrating
live-virtual-constructive (LVC) simulations with other simulations,
custom software, commercial-off-the-shelf software (COTS),
government furnished models, hardware, and user interfaces. What
You Will Do Develop and integrate new capabilities into existing
simulation models. Run simulation environments and generate
analysis data for evaluation. Document and implement design
approaches Define and execute analysis plans. Participate in
technical reviews with internal and external customers. Contribute,
collaborate in a team environment. Communicate with many levels of
program and government stakeholders What You Will Learn Integrating
distributed Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) simulation components.
IEEE 1278 DIS, IEEE 1516 HLA, and/or TENA 2D and 3D software
rendering, including Texturing, Shaders, OpenGL, Open Scene Graph,
etc. Gaming engines or related technologies: Unreal / Creator / 3DS
Max, 3D terrain and object modeling, Grasp of OS fundamentals
(Shared Mem, Multi-Threaded, etc.) Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology,
Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2
years of prior engineering experience. Experience with using the
following software applications and configuration management tools:
C/C++, Python, Perl, Object-oriented programming design (OOP/OOD),
GitHub, Subversion (SVN), etc Experience with software libraries
and application program interface (API) Ability to obtain and
maintain a US Secret security clearance prior to the start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible
for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer Experience
developing software in Windows and Linux Environments. Experience
with Agile Development Lifecycles. Experience with software or
system modeling practices (eg: UML, Syms, DoDAF) Experience with
simulation tools and visualization environments, including: SIMDIS,
AFSIM, Simulink, STK, MaK Image Generation systems Experience with
scientific computing software (eg: MATLAB) to evaluate analysis
data. Experience with RADAR, Electro Optical (EO), and/or Infrared

salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary
range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all
