A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring an Infrastructure Technician Position Type: Fulltime – Contract Location: Richardson, TX Duration: 12 Months The ideal candidate will have: The Infrastructure Technician performs skilled infrastructure/structured cabling work in the installation, service and maintenance, repair and alteration of low voltage fiber optic cabling, category cabling, communications cabling and other various low voltage cabling systems. Complete physical installations and removal of structured cabling components, cabinets, pathway systems (cable tray), move equipment, racks, and related communications infrastructure materials. Responsibilities: Install and service low voltage cabling systems, including fiber optic and various Category cables (3, 5, 5e, 6). Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair cabling infrastructure. Upgrade and enhance cabling systems for improved functionality. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently. Update management on work order status and compliance with OSHA regulations. Maintain documentation for billing, work orders, and inventory. Respond to emergency situations to resolve client issues. Transport tools and equipment to client sites. Attend meetings and training sessions to stay informed. Meet performance targets set by management. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education Requirements: Associate degree or certification in a technical field, or equivalent experience preferred. Experience Requirements: 3 years of experience in installing and maintaining low voltage cabling systems. Qualifications & Skills: Proficient in installing, terminating, and testing various low voltage cables. Experience with fluke and OTDR testers, and fusion splicing. Strong communication skills for client interactions. Knowledge of industry standards (BICSI, ANSI, EIA/TIA) and safety regulations. Ability to read blueprints and install cable pathways.
