TITLE: Business Intelligence Analytics Developer (OLAP)
Location: Hybrid in Richardson, TX OR remote
Compensation Range: $55 - $65/hour

ICS, a Korn Ferry company, is looking for a Business Intelligence Analytics Developer to join one of our retail clients. The Business Intelligence Analytics Developer will be primarily responsible for designing, developing, and testing OLAP cubes. This opportunity is part of a strategic, new data warehouse project and will support key business initiatives.

What You'll Do:

• Act as an IT knowledge leader on data warehousing, data analytics, and OLAP cubes.
• Assume responsibility for assignments in support of planning, assessment, and research activities to provide a basis for effective management of processes necessary to meet OLAP/cube/reporting requirements.
• Translate internal client requirements into functional and technical OLAP/cube/report specifications.
• Design, develop, test, implement and troubleshoot OLAP/report structures that support business needs such as ad hoc queries, standard reports, graphs and dashboards. Publish cubes and reports.
• Provide insight and direction on the development of data sets and stars that are utilized in cubes, reports, and dashboards.
• Perform quality assurance analysis and functions, including design and execution of unit testing and validation of current and new development of cubes and reports.
• Plan, build and implement security for cubes and web reports.
• Assume responsibility for cube performance tuning; using indices, aggregations, data files and partitions. Skills / Experience You Will Need:
  • An in-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server including but not limited to server installation, configuration, clustering, replication, SSIS, OLTP/OLAP, T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, backups/restores, security, and Power BI Reporting Services (PBIRS).
  • Mid- to senior-level OLAP/cube/web reporting skills, including experience with large cubes and complex presentation layers.
  • 5+ years data integration development in fast moving, full-life cycle data integration, data warehouse, or business intelligence projects.
  • Experience in the design, development, load, and support of relational and dimensional data marts and cubes for transactional and analytical solutions.
  • An understanding of multidimensional and Tabular data warehouse design, including calculated measures, hierarchies, slowly changing dimensions, and data/time dimension analysis .
  • Strong knowledge of data warehouse concepts such as star schemas, snowflakes, conformed dimensions (Kimball Methodology), etc.
  • Excellent analytical, research, communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal, and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated project leadership, communication skills, and initiative with a keen sense of customer service.
