injuries Ortho trauma Total joint replacements Description: This
position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in the
medical-surgical specialty. The nurse will be responsible for
managing various patients, including those with spinal cord
injuries and ortho trauma. Experience with total joint replacements
and surgical drains is essential. Candidates should be proficient
in hemodialysis management and have skills in managing colostomies
and feeding tubes. Knowledge of high flow nasal cannula and
tracheostomy care is important. The nurse will work with a patient
ratio of 1:6 in a unit with 36 beds. Float to units of equal or
lesser acuity may be required. Weekend shifts will be scheduled for
half of the contracted shifts. Experience with EPIC documentation
is mandatory. Professional certifications such as ACLS and NIH are
preferred but not required. This role involves comprehensive
patient care with interdisciplinary support from various services.
The candidate should be able to perform wound care and use rapid
