of East Texas (HIET) is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible
Electrophysiologists to join their practice of 13 physicians (7
Interventional, 4 Invasive/General, 1 EP) plus our own CV Surgeon.
HIET is affiliated with St. Luke’s Health-Memorial and led the
hospital to receive the highest recognition from the American
College of Cardiology (ACC) the Heartcare Center of Excellence
every year since 2018, as well as the PIONEER award for being one
of the 1st ten hospitals in the nation to receive this
designation.Opportunity to be On Baylor College of Medicine
Faculty. As of 2023, there remains only seven hospitals with this
designation in the state of Texas and MHSET (Memorial Health System
of East Texas) one of only a few hospitals with this designation to
also have four ACC accreditations in the state of Texas
(Electrophysiology, Cath Lab, Heart Failure, Chest Pain). HIET
serves 12 counties with a population of 350,000 in Deep East Texas
with 10 clinic locations and privileges at 4 hospitals. Position

& Accreditation: In 2023, Heart Institute of East Texas, recognized
by ACC as Partners in care with St. Luke’s Health Memorial Lufkin
for heart failure accreditation with outpatient services The Heart
Institute of East Texas is one of the only two outpatient clinics
in Texas and the 11th in the nation to receive this Partner in Care
Heart Failure Accreditation. The Physicians have also received the
Texas Forest Country “Small Business of the Year” award from
Governor Abbott in 2017 and the Lufkin Chamber of Commerce “Small
Business of the Year” award in 2017. In 2019, the Texas Medical
Foundation (“TMF”) awarded the “TMF Physician Practice Quality
Improvement Award” to HIET. HIET was among 32 health care providers
out of over 3,600 in seven states to receive the Gold Level award
for 2018 -2019 year (there were no recipients in 2020 – 2021 due to

Registry’s (“NCDR”) partner, Veradigm Cardiology Registry (formerly
PINNACLE Registry), recognized HIET’s contribution in providing
registry data used to improve processes and procedures that
establish high quality cardiovascular care. These processes have
been adopted by over 8,500 providers in nearly 2,500 practice
locations. Additional Recognition: Highly qualified, superior
quality, and well-respected physicians in the community that serve
in various leadership positions throughout the region. HIET
cardiologists are board certified in multiple specialties and are
leaders in the cardiovascular field in Deep East Texas. Physicians
were instrumental in establishing cardiovascular and surgery
programs at both hospital systems in Lufkin – Woodland Heights
Medical Center (Community Health Systems) and MHSET. Physicians
currently serve or have served in many leadership roles, both in
the local hospitals and in the community itself (Chiefs of Staff,
Chiefs of Cardiology, Cath Lab Directors President of Angelina
Medical Society). Dedication to excellent care within the community
and a patient-first mindset, as well as a commitment to bring
cutting edge clinical care to patients served. The Practice’s
clinics create access to much needed cardiovascular care in these
rural, underserved communities. Physicians provided educational
meetings and health fairs for the prevention of cardiovascular
disease for economically disadvantaged counties (Jasper/Houston).
HIET partnered with Boston Scientific from 2018 to 2022 via the
program “Close the Gap” to combat healthcare disparities. ABOUT THE
HEART INSTITUTE OF EAST TEXAS: A thriving healthcare system is
seeking a qualified Interventional cardiologist for a mature
Cardiovascular service line. The opportunity is with the Heart
Institute of East Texas, a large multispecialty cardiology group
providing services at two hospitals local hospitals and two open
heart programs. HIET has been instrumental in the development and
Stewart ship of the 2 heart programs including 6 Cardiac
catheterization labs, three dedicated CVOR suites, One Hybrid OR,
da Vinci Robotic Surgical Systems. Located in the heart of the
Texas Forest Country, Health System provides health care to a
15-county region. The primary service areas are Angelina and Polk
Counties, while Cherokee, Houston, San Augustine, and Trinity
counties make up the secondary market. The is a large built-in
referral base for patients. There is a large coverage area of more
