Gastroenterology (GI), you will play a crucial role in the
treatment and care of patients with digestive disorders. This
position demands clinical expertise, a dedication to patient care,
and a commitment to team collaboration to ensure optimal patient
outcomes. Assess patient health problems and needs specific to
gastrointestinal disorders Develop and implement nursing care plans
for GI patients Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or
disabled patients Advise patients on health maintenance and disease
prevention for GI issues Monitor, record, and report symptoms and
changes in patients’ conditions Operate medical equipment related
to digestive healthcare Coordinate with healthcare team members to
assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans Strong
clinical skills in gastroenterology Excellent communication and
empathy Ability to operate specialized GI equipment Proficiency in
electronic health record systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN)
license in Texas Certification in Gastroenterology Nursing (CGRN)
preferred but not required
