Job Description The Heart Hospital - Plano /n /n /n - Shift/Schedule – PRN Nights - 13wk contract - 6:45 PM- 7:15 AM. /n - Requirement- Requires a min of 2 yrs CVPCU RN experience /n /n /n Our 2 CUB Unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high-acuity patients. Our 2 CUB Unit leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member. /n /n /n /n /n /n 2 CUB Unit /n /n /n Patient Population: Cardiac and Vascular: CHF, Immediate post-op heart bypass and valves (Cardiac Universal Bed model: Care for Telemetry, PCU, ICU and CV patients) /n /n /n Patient Ratios: 1:4 (Tele); 1:3 (PCU); 1:2 (ICU); 1:1 (Immediate post-op) or unstable ICY patients connected to specialized devices /n /n /n Number of Beds: 20 beds /n /n /n Department Specifics: Skills leveling, Caring for ICU Devices (Impella, IABP, CRRT, EKOS, lumbar drain); World renown surgeons, magnet hospital, active Unit Based Council. /n /n About Us /n Here at Baylor Scott & White Health we promote the well-being of all individuals, families, and communities. Monitor patient progress is also vital. Your knowledge will help patients navigate the healthcare system safely, reducing complications. You will use your expertise to understand patient needs and the healthcare environment. /n Essential Functions of the Role /n /n - Using good judgment and clinical reasoning, conduct thorough assessments following practice standards. /n - Identify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Qualifications /n /n - Specialized field of study should be nursing. /n - 2yr or more of RN experience. /n - Cardiovascular experience in PCU & ICU highly preferred. /n - RN license. /n - Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role. /n
