This team member ensures the highest quality of patient care in compliance with professional nursing and regulatory standards of care.----A successful OR RN at EMC is proficient in the following specialties: spine, total joints, sports medicine, and pain management.----Position Specific Duties The following are bullet points summarize the key actions and job activities associated with the position.-- --Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to maintain the standards of professional nursing in a clinical setting.--Collect comprehensive data on patient health.--Ensure all physician orders are documented and carried out appropriately and timely.--Integrate patient care standards in all clinical activities; participate in performance improvement activities to improve patient safety, quality of care, and patient outcomes.--Provide compassionate, professional, and quality patient care.--Respond to others' priorities regarding safety, physical, psychological, and social needs.--Listen to and consider others. Is reliable, available, and attentive; promote a supportive and team-oriented environment.----Demonstrates adherence and participation in the hospital and department safety programs.----Reports to necessary clinical areas promptly and ensures the operating room and supplies are prepared for surgery.----Communicates effectively with management to ensure optimal surgical efficiency.----Quickly adapts to patient and surgeon needs in the operating room.----Performs other duties as required.----------Minimum Requirements-- --Graduate of an accredited nursing program.--Active RN license in Texas.--Active BLS and ACLS.--Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks appropriately.----Exert up to 50lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs frequently.----Stand for 8+ hours per day----Walk for 8+ hours per day----2+ years OR nursing experience--Ability to communicate in a professional manner------------
