The Post-Surgical Unit also responds and triages emergency room patients.------Our Surgical/Orthopedic unit is a cohesive, family-oriented team environment that improves the quality of care for patients with a primary focus on patient experience.--The successful RN will be one who makes recommendations for patient interventions and collaborates with other healthcare providers to deliver timely care and document outcomes.----Position Specific Duties----The following are bullet points summarize the key actions and job activities associated with the position.-- --Provides compassionate, professional, and quality patient care.----Responds to others' priorities regarding safety, physical, psychological and social needs.----The professional nurse works well in a multi-disciplinary team to achieve patient best outcomes.----Developing, implementing and evaluating the nursing plan of care by engaging the patient and family/caregivers in the health care process.----Listens to and considers others - is reliable, available and attentive.----Continually being supportive, open, positive and tolerant.----Professional behaviors that help patients and families understand how to confront, learn about, and think about their health and illness.--Performs other duties as required.----------Minimum Requirements-- --At least two years of Inpatient or Post-Operative experience in a hospital setting.----Knowledge of Orthopedic, Gynecological, and Spinal surgery patient management.----Experience in an Emergency Room setting preferred, but not required.----Ability to work independently, playing multiple roles within a multi-disciplinary team.----Exert up to 50lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs frequently.----Active RN license----Active BLS, ACLS & PALS----Stand for up to 12 hours per day----Walk for up to 12 hours per day---- ------------
