The University of Texas at Dallas has an excellent job opportunity
for individuals looking to join our team as an Audit Manager in the
Office of Audit and Consulting Services department.
The Audit Manager is responsible for both conducting more complex
and advanced audit work as well as managing teams of professional
staff that perform audit and consulting engagements,
investigations, and other projects that provide objective and
independent evaluations to reduce the university's risks, add
value, and improve its operations. All work is required to be
performed in accordance with the IIA Audit Standards, the Texas
Internal Auditing Act, and other applicable UT System, UT Dallas,
and departmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other business-related field;
Six years of auditing or accounting experience with at least three
years of experience in auditing and in a supervisory capacity. One
year of experience may be substituted by a Master's Degree.
Requires Certified Public Accountant (CPA),Certified Internal
Auditor (CIA),Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or
other relevant certification to the job responsibilities; or an
equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
Eight years of experience in the auditing field aligned with the
job responsibilities. At least four years of experience auditing in
a supervisory capacity. Higher education experience, knowledge of
PeopleSoft, audit software, and data analytics. Certified Internal
Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Flexible and Hybrid Remote Work Environment:
UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement required. Must be located within
the State of Texas and have the ability to be on campus with 24
hours of notice. Use of personal computer and other standard office
equipment.
Institute of Internal Auditors':
Meets Institute of Internal Auditors' (IIA) core competencies for
internal audit staff, including: knowledge and adherence to
professional ethics; knowledge and application of internal auditing
standards to the work performed; ability to understand governance,
risks, and controls appropriate to the organization; excellent
verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills; ability to
work both independently and as part of a team; and excellent
critical thinking and analytical skills.
Attendance required at various training classes to meet required
continuing professional education requirements. These training
classes include both virtual and in-person conferences.
