Job Description As the Sr. Manager, Lean Transformation, you will lead large scale projects focused on driving best in class performance in manufacturing operations across the Lennox Residential organization. This individual will use strategic thinking and A3 problem solving methodology to identify problems, develop solutions, and effectively drive lean transformation activities to achieve segment-level strategic objectives. This individual must be a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to lead multiple simultaneous projects across several sites and partner with corporate and site manufacturing operations teams.Responsibilities:Design:

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to design, standardize and deploy lean manufacturing processes aligned with strategic objectives
  • Designs and implements segment-level lean standards including but not limited to daily management, standard work, visual management, 5S, performance measurement and layered audit procedures
  • Designs and implements manufacturing process readiness validation / control for manufacturing change and new product introduction activitiesContinuous Improvement:
    • Partners with cross-functional teams in value stream mapping and kaizen execution to exceed segment-level lean transformation objectives
    • Leads continuous improvement activities with segment and site teams through A3 problem solving methodology
    • Serves as subject matter expert in providing guidance in lean transformation activities to exceed strategic objectives
    • Coaches all team members and stakeholders in execution of standardized mission control, daily management and A3 problem solving activities
    • Collaborates with all team members and suppliers to compress cycle time throughout supply chain, manufacturing, and distribution processes
    • Optimizes and sets standards for kaizen process: prep, execution, follow up
    • Partners with cross-functional team members to ensure flawless launch of new products
    • Coaches the development and enhancements of leader standard work
    • Partners with cross-functional teams to identify and execute productivity improvement initiativesMeasurement:
      • Partners with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize key performance indicator (KPI) measurement and monitoring processes
      • Develops and executes self-assessments and layered audits for manufacturing, supply chain and distribution processes; supports local teams to execute compliance to standard countermeasures People Development:
        • Acts as a servant leader and role model for cross-functional and leadership team members; defines and deploys training initiatives to promote team member skill and competency development
        • Teaches, promotes, and practices lean concepts, principles, and tools
        • Creates and fosters a culture of continuous improvement for all members in the Lennox Residential organization
        • Coaches and develops team members from the front line to executive leaders on lean practices and procedures Qualifications Competencies and Skills:
          • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated lean manufacturing transformation experience
          • Documented shop floor-based continuous improvement & A3 problem solving experience
          • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
          • Superior communication skills: written and oral
          • Good understanding of financial planning and business case development
          • Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and maintain focus on business outcomes
          • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skillsEducation / Certifications:
            • S. Degree in accredited college or university AND a minimum of 10 years of lean manufacturing experience
            • Master's degree in business and/or related discipline is considered a plus
            • Strong project management skills: data-driven, results-oriented, accountable for results
            • 10 years of experience with LEAN principles and A3 problem solving methodology
            • Ability to travel as required by assigned project work - up to 75%
