Job Description:

Job Summary: Manages the daily activities of the outpatient clinic. Responsible for hiring and training support staff. Orders equipment and supplies to fill the needs of the patient population. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas: Responsible for the direction of the Clinic staff. Supports and empowers the staff to embrace the mission and value statement of the clinic. Maintains an orderly and effective office routine. Ensures the staff provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required. Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality. Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and family. Functions as liaison between administration, patients, physicians and other healthcare providers. Interacts professionally with patient and family and involves patient and family in the formation of the plan of care. Provides emotional support. Maintains established outpatient clinic policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement program, safety, environmental and infection prevention and control standards. Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with outpatient clinic standards. Ensures an adequate stock of supplies, establishes PAR levels. Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly. Maintains department cleanliness and safety. Complies with ongoing inspections of equipment and physical space. Makes recommendations regarding equipment utilization and needs. Maintains records pertinent to staff and operation of the department. Prepares reports as needed. Directs cost-effective use of systems and resources. Maintains performance improvement activities. Manages time reporting and other changes affecting payroll. Performs competency evaluations. Provides education to staff on performance improvement. Ability to plan and organize orientation and inservice training for staff members; participates in guidance and educational programs. Provides/arranges orientation for new staff members. Mentors and manages staff to promote quality of care. Provides consultation to members of the healthcare team. Completes performance evaluations for direct reports on a timely basis. Performs management activities including interviewing, hiring, evaluating, termination, staffing and scheduling. Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as directed.Job Type: Full-timePay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per yearSchedule: 8 hour shift On callAbility to commute/relocate: Farmers Branch, TX 75234: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: One location
