Job Description:
Role Summary
The Product Marketing Manager will define an end-to-end marketing
plan, create marketing collateral (digital and traditional),
evaluate competitors, identify market trends, create effective SaaS
product demonstrations, participate in tradeshows and industry
events, lead other related responsibilities to enable products and
services sales, and promote the executive team's thought leadership
in the mobile business communications arena.
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Enterprise Services Marketing, the
ideal candidate has hands-on experience owning end-to-end marketing
campaigns, understands the communication service provider and
channel partner markets, is passionate about the business
communications space, and is adept at producing engaging customer
collateral.
This position plays an instrumental role in defining the long-term
direction of Mavenir's growth in the business communications space.
The ideal candidate will work alongside the rest of the marketing
team to create compelling content in all areas of the company's
focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to strategic and operational ideation for the
effective marketing of Mavenir's products and services,
specifically Mavenir's UCaaS Solutions.
- Develop and deliver periodic communications with the partners
in the form of newsletters, webinars, meetings, and regional/local
events.
- Develop and execute the marketing strategy for the UCaaS
solutions
- Produce content from scratch, including quick-turn-around and
media content.
- Acquire comprehensive understanding of Mavenir's market,
creating content targeted to the technical media, customers,
analysts and the public at large.
- Develop news articles, blog posts, web content, presentations,
white label marketing collateral, and other assets.
- Design, implement and deliver sales and partner training
sessions.
- Research and validate content with internal and external
stakeholders as required.
- Conduct research and participate in brainstorming to identify
key insights and translate those insights into actionable marketing
strategies, assets, and platforms for new and existing
clients.
- Contribute to and work with Mavenir's corporate and strategic
Marketing teams, agency, media, and public relationship vendors and
partners as required.
- Work effectively in cross-functional teams to support
Executive, Product, Sales, and Marketing groups to edit and create
new, unique marketing content.
- Contribute to strategic story-telling using digital,
multi-media, and traditional platforms as required.
- Script and define product demonstrations (with storytelling),
create video recordings of the demos, and enable sales staff to do
their own demos.
- Perform technical product demonstrations during tradeshows,
high profile customer meetings
- and generate thought leadership through webinars and other live
or recorded content
- Maintain and manage Content Marketing project plan and
editorial calendar.
- Define, implement and manage marketing campaigns (email,
social, etc.) for the UCaaS portfolio and generate the content to
support them (blog posts, whitepapers, briefs, success stories,
case studies, etc.).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a well-respected University,
preferably with a focus on telecommunications, marketing, or
business.
- Extensive (10+ years) experience in marketing, communications,
product marketing, and product management in the
IT/telecommunications sector. Experience at global technology firms
is a plus.
- Experience implementing channel partner programs and managing
partner relationships.
- Experience marketing services and solutions to enterprises of
all sizes, knowledge of the SMBs space and its specific
challenges.
- Excellent story-telling skills, demonstrating the ability to a
create a cohesive and creative narrative that is easily
understandable to the intended audience.
- Excellent writing skills in English and exemplary editorial
skills with a strong knowledge of grammar. Additional languages are
desired but not a requirement.
- Strong presentation/communication skills with experience
conducting technical product demonstrations (both in person and
online) and webinars.
- Experience developing holistic marketing content integrating
elements of sponsorship, experiential marketing, social media,
content production, and customer engagement.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to deliver custom
research and insights on behalf of Mavenir.
- Demonstrated ability to apply logical thought process to
problem solve and deliver recommendations.
- Process-oriented approach, with the ability to plan and execute
projects cross-functionally and flexibility to adjust your approach
when presented with new data or roadblocks.
- Understanding of the telecommunications landscape, specifically
UCC & UCaaS, cloud and software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions.
Knowledge about mobile messaging, Apple Business Chat, and Contact
Center is a plus.
- Experience working with executives and Product Management in
the development, creation, and marketing of new corporate marketing
content, strategies, and partnerships.
- Proactive, collaborative, organized, curious, problem solver
with a "can-do attitude.
- Creative do-whatever-it-takes attitude, adapting to an
ever-changing and fast-paced environment.
- Experience developing presentations for use internally and
externally, including tradeshows or other industry events.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet
deliverable deadlines.
- Expert in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word, and the
Microsoft Office suite.
- Skills in image (e.g.: Photoshop, Affinity Photo), video (e.g.:
Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere) and illustration (Affinity Designer,
Adobe Creative Suite) are desired but not needed if candidate is
willing to learn.
- Flexibility to travel to customer meetings and tradeshows, as
well as work non-standard hours when required (e.g.: do a remote
demonstration to a customer in a different continent/time zone)
