Sr. Product Manager

What You'll Do

The Network Services Business Unit (NSBU) is working to develop and drive a portfolio of competitive as-a-Service (aaS) and Consumption offers. The aaS Enablement Product Manager will be pivotal in supporting the strategy and future vision of the NSBU. This person will work with the other technology Business Units to help them transform their portfolios to cloud-native aaS or consumption solutions.

Requirements will vary as the team matures and executes on its mission therefore a successful candidate will have had past product management, program management and technology development experience, and a flexible nature to execute on priorities.

Significant and effective cross-organizational teamwork and alignment are required. Daily responsibilities include leading execution for early stage offer development including product management tasks encompassing the entire development lifecycle to enable these offers.

Pivotal responsibilities are:

Build trust and effective relationships with cross-functional teams and drive alignment on vision, strategy, goals, status and customer impact

Define and prioritize core use cases, supported by customer and competitive research, and sales insights

Build and present business case for new offers with business unite product line managers including assessing market opportunity and forecasting projected revenue and market share

Continuously work to validate and improve the lifecycle management finding critical "white space" to differentiate Cisco, in partnership with the Business Units (BUs)

Drive and help develop the assigned offer capability roadmaps, bringing together cross-architecture integrations when appropriate, and ensure defined metrics are attained

Work with other PMs to define high-value alliances, cross-solution alignment, and effective packaging for assigned products (e.g., packaging multiple offers into a single "solution" where most valuable)

Drive effective interlock with other teams to ensure the roadmap is understood and key business partner feedback is considered

Investigate and understand customer and competitive trends, challenges and needs, and translate into future offers that deliver measurable outcomes, value, and differentiation to our customers

Provide support for continuous improvement of all processes, methodologies, and services

Develop technical and business knowledge to meet evolving business requirements

Who You'll Work With

You will work closely with multiple business partners including NSBU and other BU Product Managers, Engineering, Customer Experience, IT, Operations, Legal, Finance, Sales, Partners, and Customers.

Who You Are

To ensure success the NSBU Product Manager will possess:

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent business experience

10+ years in Product Management delivery in a High Tech, multi-regional environment

Proven knowledge of and experience executing against defined product management and development methodologies

A broad command of Cisco's Portfolio of products and services, customer base, and organizational structure

Experience with building and delivering as-a-Service offers is highly preferred

Ability to tackle sophisticated problems and back recommendations with strong data.

Ability to understand the complexity of how things work and execute strategies to simplify

Possess validated business insight that maps to product management execution

Ability to collaborate, lead and work in a multifaceted fast paced organization
