Role PurposeCBRE is a world leader in commercial real estate management. One of our visions is to transform the company into a world-class business enabling technology organization with a focus on agile delivery.To deliver this vision, we are looking to hire technologists in leadership positions to establish a"-- -connected architecture' of systems and applications across lines of business and geographies, leading technology teams on innovation through exploration of new technologies with an emphasis on "speed to market" with quality delivery.As a Senior Director, Digital and Technology, the primary responsibility will be to lead the delivery of two or more agile teams. Be a hands-on technologist, lead the creation and maturity of COE and support the cloud transformation journey by creating new systems and applications delivered on the cloud natively and/or migrate existing systems to the cloud.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking knowledge of various design and integration patterns with Salesforce. Ability to create solutions for complex business problems using Salesforce Technologies such as Apex, Visualforce and/or Lightning PlatformActively lead all stages of the Salesforce development projects (i.e. administration, configuration, development, deployment)Ability to play a role in investigating/evaluating new CRM technologies/add-ons to meet current and future needs; analyzes current technology with respect to product strategies.Utilize open source projects such as Kafka, Docker, relational and no-sql databases, frameworks such as Spring, Angular JS etc. to build cloud based productsLead application teams using GoLang, Java, C#, Javascript languagesEmploy Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools for optimal productivityUtilize on premise and cloud based architecture i.e. AWS, Azure, etc. to define the conceptual and logical architecture for key enterprise capabilitiesWork closely with Line of Business technology enablement leaders in evaluating architectural alternatives and support them in selecting approaches for provisioning new capabilities (build / buy / partner)Work closely with the business teams to understand multiple functional areas of the organization to cater to the business needsIdentify and drive opportunities to simplify and leverage the existing tools/assets and resources"-- -across the technology organizationAdhere to the Enterprise Reference Architecture while developing or enhancing a system/applicationServe as a point of escalation and drive resolution for conflicting issues within the application domain, while aiding in the architecture and design of application solutions that will meet business needsDriving adherence to security, compliance directives and best-practicesPerson SpecificationEstablished leadership experience in large organizations comparable to CBREWorking knowledge of Dev/Ops and Agile working methods enabling collaboration as part of a cross-functional agile teamsProven ability to effect organizational changePossesses expertise across multiple architecture domains, forward- thinking, and well-versed in emerging technologies and trendsExperience in creating and successfully leading technology delivery teamsHave a strong, pragmatic approach to leading architecture and development solutions, with a proven record in technology planning and deliveryProven people management skills, with a track record in developing people and driving performance improvements through leadershipAbility to prioritize and co-ordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all deadlines are metDriven, confident, collaborative and assertive where required. Able to embrace the culture of CBRE and help maintain our values or Respect, Integrity, Service and ExcellenceExperience of managing product deliveryExcellent interpersonal skills across all levels of the organizationSkills Required8 -12 years' experience in the delivery of technology solutions using Salesforce APEx, Java, C++, C# languagesExperience of working in a globally distributed architecture teamStrong expertise in design, development, and maintenance of distributed applications & systemsExtensive experience in architectural design enterprise productsExperience working in Dev/Ops and agile development environmentsA good standard of education - BS or MS in engineering or computer science is essentialExcellent communication skills, both verbal and in writingBS
