Up to 25%Job Shift Day Description POSITION SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, responsible for providing technical
support to field engineers, technicians and product support who are
diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex
electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems and/or complex
software.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Works on problems of a routine to moderate scope where analysis of
situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
Provides technical support to field engineers, technicians and
product support who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and
debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems
and/or complex software.
Responds to situations where first-line product support has failed
to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or
software.
Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to
design engineering/software engineering.
Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly
technical or sophisticated in nature.
Proper planning to ensure scheduled downtime commitments are meet,
both results and return time. Unscheduled preparation for timely
and effective repairs by first-lines support.
Provides recommendations for product selection, set up, operation
and maintenance.
Establish and maintain a continuous improvement program, with
priorities based on contractual commitments and customer needs.
Requires continual data analysis, and writing and verbal
communications with both customer and internal management and field
engineers.
Train and or mentor Technical Support levels I, II, and III.
Act as a lead in the absence of the supervisor.

Education
Bachelors degree in science or engineering discipline or equivalent
experience.
Experience
Ten (10) or more years of work related experience, preferably in
semiconductor or related industry.
Working knowledge of mechanical skills. Working knowledge of
principles of semiconductor and/or vacuum technology.
