and skilled Principal Project Bridge Engineer for our rapidly
expanding portfolio of projects! If you're looking to take your

professional expertise within bridge engineering while working
alongside a team of highly experienced engineers on major Texas
State and area projects that will have substantial impact on your
community and the general public!What You'll Be Doing:
- Developing the scope of work, schedules, and budgets for the
assigned bridge project elements, and monitoring progress to meet
schedule/budget requirements
- Interfacing with Procurement and Subcontracts to facilitate
coordination with vendors/subcontractors
- Participating in quantity analysis to help determine project
costs
- Reviewing and directing the use of applicable design criteria,
codes, standards, and procedures in development of project
documents
- Monitoring productivity and technical proficiency of assigned
personnel for task completion
- Coordinating allocation of interdisciplinary technical
personnel on the project and assigning personnel from other
technical support groups
- Assisting the Project Manager in planning, directing,
supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal,
and administrative functions of the project or study
- Participating in definition of the technical skills and staff
hours required for successful completion of the project
- Ensuring client criteria/scope are met by all engineering
disciplines
- Expediting distribution of action items following
discussions/meetings with the client/Project Manager
- Understanding the client's business goals in order to enhance
the project work
- Preparing technical calculations, reports and documentation of
activity for the client and project management
- Acting as Project Manager's deputy for certain activities, such
as attending meetings in his/her absence, etc.
- Mentoring technical staff in their career development
- Obtaining, analyzing, and circulating technical and contractual
information to project disciplines
- Reviewing and approving change orders - Notifying project
management and other affected personnel of all changes
- Participating regularly in decision-making meetings with the
client and project management
- Providing oversight and quality control reviews of project
documents
- Leading task force meetings for project developmentWhat
Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Texas PE
- Qualified to serve as a Bridge Design Task Lead on TxDOT
projects
- 15+ years of bridge engineering experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis
- Previous supervisory experience in a project engineering
role
- Excellent written and oral communications skills with thorough
knowledge of industry practices and regulations
- Experience in development of RFP responses for traditional
public sector work
- Thorough understanding of current technology and ability to
appropriately apply appropriate engineering software for project

- Master's Degree preferable
- Capable of hiring and building support team to complete
