Description
Incumbents are fully qualified to execute job/role accountabilities
working independently on most aspects of the job. Work is performed
within established professional standards and practices. Tasks are
moderately complex in nature where judgment is required to complete
recurring assignments independently and to determine the best
methods to follow to complete assignments. Erroneous decisions or
failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the
division's/department's operations, schedules, and/or performance
goals. Works under general Supervision. Situations not covered by
standard processes, procedures and methods are referred to manager
or expert resource. May demonstrate work methods to new employees.
Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those
that facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such
as relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal
service.
Responsibilities
This position is part of a highly competent group of designers and
is expected to provide strong technical leadership in the design
and development of highly competitive Industry products that meet
the Customers' expectation.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
Engineering Foundation Competencies
Expert in PCB design tools Cadence Allegro 16.x &17.x ,
experience on Valor Trilogy 5000/NPI is preferred
Possess experience in high density PCB design up to 28 layers and
Familiar with high-speed layout design requirements
Working knowledge of setting and complying with board and trace
constraints
Strong knowledge of PCB & PCBA manufacturing process
Excellent knowledge of industry and quality standards, knowledge of
IPC standards is preferred
Strong knowledge of IT platforms and database design
Familiar with EMC & EMI layout requirements
Able to summarize the layout experience from the customer's
requirements
Self-motivated, capable of completing assignments in a dynamic
environment, aggressive schedule, and complex design
