Job Summary
POSITION
The Jindal School of Management at The University of Texas at
Dallas is seeking to fill an open-rank non-tenure-track faculty
position. The successful candidate will also serve as the Director
of Web Infrastructure and Services for the Jindal School of
Management. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant,
Associate, or Full Professor of Practice, depending on the
qualifications of the candidate.
The successful candidate will have responsibilities in both
teaching and managing the web infrastructure and services of the
school. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and
graduate level courses in areas related to information technology.
The responsibilities as the Director of Web Infrastructure and
Services include the design and development of complex software
architecture for mobile and web applications, writing algorithms
for core functionality of complex software projects, designing
layouts, coordinating with UT Dallas Web Services to ensure that
all UT Dallas policies and requirements are met, managing a team of
direct reports, monitoring performance, developing plans for
professional development, and conducting annual reviews.
The position is housed in the Information Systems area, and the
appointment will be effective January 1, 2023. The position will
remain open until filled.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must warrant the appointment at a faculty rank
consistent with their qualifications and accomplishments. Potential
candidates must have a PhD or equivalent or a relevant Master's
degree and appropriate industry experience, ideally with a
demonstrated record in teaching and a strong commitment to
principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion. All candidates are
expected to work effectively in a highly collaborative, engaging,
and dynamic environment comprised of individuals of diverse
backgrounds, skills, and perspectives. At least two years of
experience related to website management and web-based application
development is required.

The IS area has an active PhD program and offers large, flexible
graduate and undergraduate programs in information technology and
business analytics.
