Job Summary
POSITION
The Jindal School of Management at The University of Texas at
Dallas is seeking to fill an open-rank non-tenure track faculty
position. Appointment will be at the rank of Assistant, Associate,
or Full Professor of Instruction, depending on the qualifications
of the candidate.The successful candidate will have
responsibilities in teaching, research, and service to the school.
Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate and/or
graduate-level courses in content areas related to business
communication and professional development.The position is housed
in the Organizations, Strategy, and International Management area
and in the Business Communication Program. The appointment will be
effective August 1, 2023. The position will remain open until
filled.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must warrant the appointment at a faculty rank
consistent with their qualifications and accomplishments. Potential
candidates must be ABD, have a PhD, or equivalent, or a relevant
master's degree(s) and appropriate industry experience, ideally
with a demonstrated record in teaching.
ABOUT BUSINESS COMMUNICATION (BCOM)
The BCOM Program teaches required undergraduate courses in business
communication, at times including topics like professional
development and business communication. The program has a wide span
of communication research interests, including pedagogy, workplace
communication, professional communication, intercultural and
cross-cultural communication, and diversity, equity, and inclusion
connected to communication.
