Role Overview The Home Service Technician is responsible for performing a variety of home repair and maintenance services with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and providing excellent service to homeowners and businesses. Key Responsibilities Perform general home repair, installation, and maintenance tasks with care and professionalism including: Minor carpentry (doors, trim, framing) Drywall repair and painting Basic plumbing (toilet installs, faucet replacement, leak fixes) Basic electrical (switch/outlet replacement, light fixture installs) Tile, flooring, and other general repairs Support home safety and accessibility for seniors aging in place Communicate professionally with customers before, during, and after jobs Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times Support the Lead Technician as needed Maintain tools and company vehicle (if provided) Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and time spent on jobs Ideal Candidate Profile Passionate about delivering great customer experiences 5 years of paid hands-on home repair, handyman, maintenance, or construction experience Proficient in multiple trades (e.g., carpentry, general maintenance, light plumbing, light electrical, painting, drywall, tiling) Committed to quality, safety, and doing the job right Comfortable working independently and within a team Strong work ethic, reliable and respectful in every situation Some experience in project estimating or quoting jobs preferred Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and standard tools Fluent in English and legally authorized to work in the U.S. Embodies TruBlue Core Values Compensation and Benefits Competitive pay ($23-$30/hr based on experience) Steady, year-round work with consistent hours and flexible scheduling Strong office and leadership support A team with a unique culture that values character, respect, and leads with empathy Advancement opportunities TruBlue gear, company vehicle and/or tool allowance (if applicable) Paid time off, holidays, and potential for performance bonuses and incentives Opportunities for professional development and trade certifications Why TruBlue Youll be joining a team that supports you, respects your expertise, and values the role you play in helping customers live better at home.
