Job Summary

Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Equity Research and Resource Centers (AVPERRC) in the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI), the Administrative Project Coordinator (APC) will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the AVPERRC including managing the AVPERRC's schedule, coordinating travel, assisting with grant-related work, and other special projects. They will work collaboratively with ERRC and other ODEI team members to support the planning, development, and implementation of initiatives toward cultivating and strengthening a culture of equity and inclusion on the campus.


We are seeking candidates who can lead and work collaboratively in teams comprised of individuals of diverse backgrounds, skills, and perspectives.









Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and three years of administrative experience, experience related to the project area or any equivalent combination of education and experience.









Preferred Education and Experience

Previous experience working in large, collaborative, and complex office environments; experience working with colleagues and customers from diverse populations. Experience with research grants and/or projects. Excellent communication skills and project management experience.









Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Works collaboratively with the Associate Vice President and the Equity Research and Resource Centers (ERRC) team in the planning, development, and implementation of initiatives for improving and strengthening efforts toward cultivating a culture of equity and inclusion on the campus.

  • Manages logistical details for multiple programs and initiatives coordinated by the Associate Vice President's office, including work orders, catering, purchasing, parking, travel, and audiovisual requests.

  • Oversees hiring, onboarding, and timekeeping activities for full-time and part-time staff in the Associate Vice President's office.

  • Assists the Associate Vice President with the management of the office's budget including processing budget transfers, completing account reconciliations, managing department purchasing, and ensuring budget compliance.

  • Provides front desk coverage and administrative support to the Associate Vice President including calendaring, coordinating travel, assisting with grant proposal submissions, and other related duties.

  • Collaborates frequently with staff and leaders from the ODEI including administrative staff in the Vice President's office.
