difference. Join us!RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, implement, enhance, and support database
systems in support of business goals.
- Participate in all aspects of database design, performance
monitoring-tuning, backup and recovery, scripting, software
installation and upgrades, troubleshooting, and proactively
maintaining production databases.
- Work with applications support, production support, hardware,
system administration and network engineering teams toward
maximizing availability in current and planned systems.
- Provide backup, restore and replication support for production
databases.
- Administer database users and database security in accordance
with mandatory enterprise wide guidelines.
- Create and maintain documentation of all production policies,
procedures, server configurations, error logs, maintenance records
and product troubleshooting instructions.
- Identify, troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate issues that
affect the systems, servers and database related products.
- Provide input to a maximum availability architecture design
using GoldenGate. Implement an Active/Active/Active with CDR and
exception handling to support never Down applications using
GoldenGate replication.
- Triage GoldenGate failure and resolving using OEM and
AWRs.
- Utilize Oracle performance and performing turning on Oracle to
research performance issues.
- Use OEM for performance and tuning in order to triage
production issues and help tune SQL Queries.
- Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from
the worksite.REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Computer
Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information
Systems or related; and
- 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related IT
occupation.
- Must include 5 years of experience in each of the
following:
- Providing input to a maximum availability architecture design
using GoldenGate;
- Implementing an Active/Active/Active with CDR and exception
handling to support never Down applications using GoldenGate
replication;
- Triaging GoldenGate failure and resolving using OEM and
AWRs;
- Utilizing Oracle performance and performing turning on Oracle
to research performance issues; and,
- Using OEM for performance and tuning in order to triage
